I'm BJ Guenther and I'm a beekeeper! I've waited a long time to be able to claim the title but I still feel new! I began on May 26, 2016, The bees arrived (it's called a package)from H&R Apiary in Jessup, GA. This is my fifth spring/summer of beekeeping.

I live in West Central Alabama and it took about 2 days for the bees to be mailed via USPS.

Some call beekeeping a hobby, but I'm realizing there is so much to learn, and the possibilites of what the bees can do, is really unbelievable.

My goal in writing a blog is to document my adventures so that other novice beekeepers might learn something from my having abosoutely no experience and really no mentor. We'll see....this should be fun!
